Souper Bowl Party 2009 February 1st

Join us this Sunday starting at 5pm with the annual Chili cook-off ($10 entry) and newly added Salsa chop-off ($5 entry) contests. 1st and 2nd prizes awarded by popular vote. We only want the name of your chili and salsa so there is no identifying the cook! Signup on the anonymous list in the foyer before the party.  Other potluck stuff is appreciated too, since we will be there for the duration! Hot dogs, chips and drinks provided by CCA. Kid's will be entertained by valentine stamping. Adult/child ping-pong tournament at half-time. The game starts at 6pm, so come support your team!

This past Sunday CCA joined in Worship with Grace Baptist Church. Pastor Darin brought the message, "Along the Way Ministry" Acts 20:1-16.

CCA Worship Team led by Jesse Andreasen, accompanied by Dave Sumner, Dennis Swanberg, Shari Shaw, Lisa Andreasen, Peter Havens, Paula Chafe, John Owen. A choir was among them with Jodi Richardson, Steve Clough and Richard Griffin singing "Ye Servants." 

A luncheon fellowship was given graciously by Grace in the lower level of the church.

Dinner Groups Launched

Shrimp cocktail was the opening course for Group 2 as they met at the Peter & Sharon's home in Brookline for their February date on the 10th. This is one of 5 groups who will meet over the course of 3 months in different homes. All will participate in providing a meal course. Next stop...Bedford.

"The Big Game" Party

Come support the New England Patriots in their quest to make history!! Yea, we'll even let you in if you're a Giants fan.

On Sunday, February 3rd we will have our annual party to celebrate the Super Bowl...



4:30 Set-up (come help us get the sanctuary organized if you are available)

5:00 Doors open

6:00 Chili entry deadline (this is a firm line…All chili entries must be ANONYMOUSLY named and brought to the kitchen with a $10 fee) **No chili will be accepted into the competition after 6:00 pm.

6:20 Kick-off

Food Needed:
We will have a grill for hamburgers & hotdogs at the beginning of the party. If you would like to contribute either of these in lieu of the potluck, please email me.

If you are not bringing Chili or food for the grill, please bring a contribution for the potluck table. Suggestions: cheese & cracker tray, veggie tray, fruit tray, any appetizer, desserts (were a little short last year).

Beverages & paper products will be provided by CCA.

Games (prizes to winner):
Ping pong ~ Parent & child vs. Parent & child (or any adult & child combination).
Game sheets to mark down your guesses of winner, point spread, etc.
(1) Door prize chosen from everyone who attends.

Crafts:
Stampin’ Up with Alicia Lekas. Valentine cards with lollipops.
Additional individually bagged craft kits will be available as an option.

Movies & Games:
Kid’s can also watch movies in the Nursery with Amanda & Katie Shaw.

Raffle:
The monies received for this raffle will support the purchase of window treatments for the Sanctuary.

Tickets are available now through the 3rd Quarter for $2. each or $5 for three.
